5 Reasons The Universal Holiday Tour is a Must Do

The holiday season is a magical time to visit Universal Orlando Resort. With spectacular shows, a beautiful parade, special food and drinks and so much more, you’re going to want to see everything Universal has to offer this time of year.

Of course, trying to see it all can be a bit overwhelming. With festive happenings in both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure, there’s just so much to do. Luckily, the Universal Holiday Tour is an easy and affordable way to see just about all of it!

Here are five reasons the Universal Holiday Tour is a must do!

1. The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular

Yes, most of what you do during the Holiday Tour is available with a normal park ticket. However, the Tour makes things so much easier. The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular is an incredible stage show retelling the iconic story of How The Grinch Stole Christmas. And of course, as is always the case with any great theme park attraction, it is very popular during the day. With the Holiday Tour, you get guaranteed seating for the show and kick off your holiday experience in the best way possible!

2. Meet and Greet with the Grinch!

Full disclosure: I am not typically one to meet characters in the parks. It’s always fun to see them, but It’s not something I tend to wait for. The Grinch is the exception. This is the single greatest character meet and greet in any park. And with the Holiday Tour, you don’t have to wait at all to meet him! You’ll get time to chat it up with the mean one himself and oh boy does he like to chat! Have your camera ready because you’re going to want to capture your interactions with the Grinch!
And again, you can meet the Grinch during normal park hours, but you should expect a significant wait time!

3. SNACKS!

Food and drinks are included with the Universal Holiday Tour! This offering has been changed up over the years in terms of location and menu, but you’ll certainly be able to enjoy some hot chocolate and other delicious refreshments. In recent years, we’ve been served everything from fried chicken to Christmas cookies.

4. Private Viewing of The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts!

The only thing better than watching The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts is watching it with almost no one else around. The Holiday Tour is capped off with a viewing of this spectacular show, and the only guests left in the park are those on The Holiday Tour! You will never see Hogsmeade so empty! This is the perfect way to end a magical night of holiday festivities!

5. Photos in a (Mostly) Empty Park!

Quite possibly the very best thing about The Holiday Tour is just the in between moments where you get to enjoy the parks with almost no one else in them! Your tour guide will give you some time to soak in these moments and they make for some amazing photos. It’s a great time to either get that perfect family shot or just enjoy the magical holiday decorations around the parks!
